RAD & CHINESE DANCE TEACHER

Sophia began her dancing journey at age 3 with Beijing Dance Academy’s examination syllabus. After moving to Canada at age 7, Sophia quickly joined YI Dance to continue her formal dance training for over 10 years in both ballet and Chinese dance. In the meantime, she also received training in contemporary, modern-ballet, lyrical and hip-hop. Sophia has successfully completed RAD’s Intermediate examination and Beijing Dance Academy’s grade 12 examination. She is becoming a certified teacher for PBT programs in 2022.
Sophia’s dance is elegant and powerful. Her teaching style is fine grained and is beloved by young children. Sophia continues to pursue her passion for dance through training in Grade 13 Chinese dance. She is heading to the University of Waterloo to study fine arts and psychology. She is enthusiastic about her lifelong dance journey to inspire other young dancers.
